Phobia

Shockandaweaphobia: Fear that the terrorists have won.

This is my picture for Illustration Friday. The theme is phobia. "Phobia" was drawn on a piece of multi-purpose copy paper with my Faber-Castle 3-H pencil, then inked over with my Gel-Roller, then I did a lot of cutting and pasting, then I added the text and color in Photoshop. I also spent way too much time on this today, but I had fun. Heh, heh.

Don't forget to stop by the last post for a chance to win a free movie! Get yer own damn popcorn! Bwhahahahahahahahaha… ahem. For the chance to win a free movie CLICK HERE!

Have you ever been shocked and awed? How about leaving me some love?

Shameless Plug and a Contest!

Yes! This post is a shameless plug for the short film "Tooth and Nail", but you also get the chance to win a copy of the extended version of the film signed by Sean McGrath (The Director) and me. (The Unknown)

Isn’t that worth the time spent shaking your head at the bad pun?
Well, ISN'T IT?!

The Rules:

Go watch the film "Tooth and Nail", then write a 10-word review.

The review must contain 10 words. No more, no less.
Post your 10-word review in the comments section of this post.
Please only one entry per person. Feel free to leave as many comments as you want, but please only one contest entry per person.
The best 10-word review will win an extended version of the movie signed by Sean McGrath (The Director) and me (The Unknown) as well as a few other goodies.
The contest last until I say it's over. A month or so I think? It all depends on how quickly I get a decent amount of entries.

You can watch the movie by clicking this link: Cinema Syndicate

Have fun and don’t forget to leave some love.

Change

Well Loves, I was working on this crazy story about the two days I just spent on the road with Live Wire, but at the last minute I changed my mind. BWhahahahahahahahaha... ahem.

"Change", my picture for Illustration Friday, was drawn on a scrap of multi-purpose copy paper with my Gel-Roller and colored in Photoshop.

To be honest I've had writers block for a couple of weeks now and just don't feel up to telling a story about how important it is to always bring a change of pants on an overnight trip because you just never know when the pants you’re wearing might accidentally catch on fire while partying with Alan Singley and the Pants Machine in an over crowded RV. Besides, it wasn’t actually my pants that caught on fire. It was Drew’s pants that were set ablaze moments after he sat down in the spot I had just been sitting in.

There but for the grace of God/dess go I.

Damage from the fire.
The band signing Drew's scorched pants. From the left; Gus, Leb, Ben, Drew and Alan signing the pants.
Who needs fantasy when your life is this strange?

Anyhow, I know I'm weeks behind on replying to comments and I apologize. I hope to catch up with all that by this Monday.

In other news:

The short film that I was lucky enough to be a small part of and have been bragging about for the last month finally has a website. If you would like to see this incredible, amazing, short film made as part of the 48 Hour Film Project. CLICK HERE!

Now, I’m going to bed because I feel exhausted.

Have you ever felt rode hard and put away wet? Will you leave me some love?

Farm

After wasting another year practicing I realized two things; 1) no one on my farm team was ever going to turn pro and 2) sheep make lousy cheerleaders. How many times did I have to tell them it was, “Rah! Rah! Rah!” not, “Baa! Baa! Baa!”

This is my picture for Illustration Friday, the theme is farm. “Farm” was drawn on a piece of multi-purpose copy paper with my Gel-Roller and colored in Photoshop.

Who is the best player on your farm team? Do you want to leave me some love?

I'm Back And I Need A Nap

Well, I finally got back home today and I’m exhausted. I need a vacation to recover from my vacation. Having been away from home and totally unplugged for two weeks I feel a bit lost.

Nevertheless, I wanted to put a quick post up to say, “I’M BACK!”

The trip was wonderful and I’m trying to write a story about it, but at this point I don’t think it will be entertaining enough to be a blog post. Then again that might be the fog in my head talking. I also have a busy month ahead and don’t know how much time I will actually have to work on it.

And now a couple of updates:

The movie I was in for the 48 Hour Film Project did indeed win “Best Film” and “Best Theme Song”. (In Portland.) That is super fucking cool and it means our film will be up for “Best 48 Hour Film of 2006”. Sadly, that also means a little longer until the movie is available on the web. (They’ve asked the winners not to put their films on the web until a best of 2006 has been picked.) Even though I was only a small part of the movie I’m extremely excited about how well our film has done and believe me I will let you know when you can see it. Plus I can add, “Award Winning Film” to my resume. Heh, heh.

I’m also excited to announce that Gorky and I just bought a digital camera. We were supposed to have it for our vacation, but it was shipped to the wrong address. So, we didn’t have it until today when we got home. We have, however, already started playing with the camera. The first picture Gorky took with it is now my new avatar and the photo on this post is a picture of Percy that I took and then fooled around with in Photoshop.

Anyhow Loves, it’s nice to be home, I missed you all and I can’t wait to get back into the swing of things. Now I’m off to go through the gazillion e-mails I received while unplugged. Don't forget to enjoy the full moon tonight!

What’s the longest you’ve been unplugged lately? How about leaving me some sugar baby?
