Bad Art I Am Compelled To Share

Tattoo

This is my picture for Illustration Friday, the theme is tattoo. "Tattoo" was drawn on a scrap of multi-purpose copy paper then cleaned up and colored in Photoshop.

American TV in the late 70's and early 80's kicked ass! It was so hedonistic. Hedonistic with a dash of morality, just enough morality so that we didn't feel guilty about our hedonism.

Do you have a tattoo? Do you love me?

98 Comments:

  • i was hooked watching american series during that time....

giving you so much love for this wonderful tattoo. this is not bad art.

  • I was thinking of giving Ricardo Montalban a tattoo of Hervé Villechaize but figured that may take too long.

Anyway, much love on this one.

    By Blogger Lou, at 05:10

  • Cool self-portrait in previous post. I too can experience similar effects when really stuck into making a picture, often after two hours of thinking 'nothing's happening aaarrrrrggghhh.'
Herve looks quite suave. We had the Goodies in the '70's. I've got a black & white (pink) sunburst celtic knot tattoo on right shoulder, same as one seen in an episode of Spaced.
    BowTieLove.

  • shano: Thanks. That's the kind of reaction I like to hear about. :-)

Ricardo Montalban was pretty hot and in Wrath of Kahn he was chiselled!

BTW; my first lp I bought out of my pocket was Steppenwolf. Did I just age myself?

    By Blogger AscenderRisesAbove, at 11:18

  • phinner: Yes I thought so, my sarcastic comment was meant to be sarcasm. :-)
    Thanks!

ascenderrisesabove: I know he was the insperation for mini-me!
