Quiet
I'm not sure why it was so difficult for me to come up with an illustration this week. I guess I have a lot on my mind and I just needed a moment of quiet before ideas started coming to me.
Anyhow, here is my picture for Illustration Friday the theme is quiet. "Quiet" was drawn on a scrap of multi-purpose copy paper with my Gel-roller and colored in Photoshop.
Don't forget you can win a copy of the short film I was in by clicking here. I started the contest last week and so far only two people have entered. The odds of winning something are pretty good.
When was the last time you had a moment of quiet? Did you leave me some love?

Oh-- me too.We nixed the tv years ago, but it ambushes me when I go out to the doctors, or to get my oil changed, or...
*shudder*. somuch bad stuff out there...

I'm getting pretty overwhelmed by all of it. I'm still reeling from that Senate vote to allow Bush to torture folks.
I'd say that makes it official. We are the nazis.

But the problem with avoiding the news is that we risk allowing bad things to continue happening. After all, Bush won twice because Democrats didn't vote in key states, twice !
It's unpleasant but necessary to keep an eye on the monsters in charge...

Sometimes I use the paperbag over my head as a means to go treat my insomnia.
I knock out cold and wake up feeling very refreshed!!

You know, I've been thinking, and your art's really not that bad. Honestly, I mean, I've seen a lot worse. Don't be so hard on yourself.

Great piece! Not much quiet around my place with 2 little guys- at least it's happy noise (for the most part)- Unlike the evil tube news.

oh the barrage of lies that comes from our "tv screens as the chimp calls what he mistakenly believes are the sole source of the info Americans receive about the world"
thank god I'm going to Malta tomorrow and can watch CNN's international station for grown ups who can take the truth. What a contrast to the crap they show in this country.
nice illo.

I wish I could have some quiet time. Neighbors are loud, our cats like my room more than any other place in the house. I have to turn my fan on at night to drown out the noise outside, so I can sleep. I wish I lived in the country.
