Strings 2

BWhahahahahahahahahahaha... eh. Anyone remember this old joke?

This is my second picture for this week's Illustration Friday theme Strings. "Strings 2" was drawn on a piece of scrap paper using a Faber-Castle 3-H pencil, inked in with a Faber-Castle fine tip artist pen and the text was added using Photoshop Elements.

This old joke popped into my head while I was watching football. So, I decided to do a quick sketch.

Strings

Sometimes, I think I can feel the luminescent strings that connect me to all things, within and without, and it makes me happy.

This is my picture for Illustration Friday the theme is strings. "Strings" was painted with acrylics on prepared canvas. This was my first attempt at painting my avatar with acrylics. I'm pretty happy with the results.

Although, I had a hard time getting a decent scan. The above is the best of the bunch. If you enlarge it, you can see the strings a whole lot more and I swear the painting looks better in person. If you don't believe me come over and take a look.

Seriously. I could use the company.

Sugary

This is my picture for Illustration Friday the theme is sugary. "Sugary" was made using watercolor pencils and ink.

This painting didn't turn out exactly the way I saw it in my head, but then, what does?

Working on the picture did get my creative juices flowing and that's the important thing.

Now, if you'll excuse me I need to go mop up my juices.
