Night
This is my picture for Illustration Friday. I'm getting a lot of mileage out of this picture. I've used it in three different projects now. Originally it was drawn with pastel crayons. Then I fiddled with it in photoshop and added a moon. To get the full emotional impact from this picture, please view the illustration with your eyes closed.
Hmm...

Beijos)

Day becomes night
The moon is hung up high
Time to crawl under
the star filled sky
Ended up more like a poem. Great illo all the same.

Spooky trees--very nice.

There was an old man from haiku
Who couldn't speak much like you
So he said it in ways
That sounded like praise
For unusually good bad art - thank you

That's a cool picture, those trees, I like them!
I agree with your girlfriend about the other one, though you did a fantastic job on the paper. I'd say you must have too much time on your hands, but that would be mean, LOL! (making paper?)
Those trees and the moon are great though. :-)

Dearest Unknown,
No hiaku for you but how about a silly limerick?
There once was an artist unknown
who spent one night alone
drawing tall dark trees
while scratching his fleas
because he let too many cats in his home.
With much Love,
Fifi

Haikus I dislike
although for you i will try
To leave haiku love.
oh...and i LOVE the chalk-crayon tree picture. i think it's my favorite so far.
By Nikki Moore, at 07:35
Hello my red hot lover, I'm so disappointed that this is late in getting to you, but better late than never. I hope you like it.
This is from my haiku site...
Nightsounds like music
are wrapped up in humid air
you leave me breathless
This haiku came to me one night while sitting on my yard swing. The night was so hot and humid I could hardly breathe and the katydids were making their own kind of music which was almost deafening. They would all get together making their shrill sounds, then all of the sudden they would just stop, total silence, then they'd start once again, sounding like nature's own concert.
Love as always,
Sandy
By Sandy, at 16:13
haiku sounds to me
like mental patient rambling
and true love to you
aaaah...such a masterpiece. I'm sure my college english professors are so proud right now. Yes, well anyway, this friendly little post is just to let you know that you have been declared the "winner" of my halloween prank...if you'd like to claim your "prize" (a whole book of my haiku?), send your address to my email (on my blog). toodles...

Wow! Unusual piece there. Pastels. Now, that is an unfamiliar medium for me. How long did it take you to do that?
By Chuang Shyue Chou, at 17:26
Simple but effective, and it works nearly as well upside down!
By Ian T., at 23:42
It's deceptively simple. But when I look at the tree trunks, they have depth and character which you've caught with few lines and subtle shading. Really impressive, and easy to overlook. Nicely done!

Hi!very beautiful!!
