3 - 6 - 9 - 12
3 Big crows in my neighbor's yard,
6 Beady eyes on me,
9 Minutes until the sun goes down,
12 Minutes since I lost my key.
3 Big crows upon my fence,
6 Talons click with glee,
9 Times I curse myself,
12 Feet away death awaits me.
3 Big crows on my porch,
6 Caws saying curse ye,
9 Seconds ago she opened the door,
12 Seconds now I've been free.
3 Big crows fade into the night,
6 Black wings I'll never more see,
9 Kisses I give my love,
12 Kisses she returns to me.
"3 - 6 - 9 - 12" was drawn on a scrap of multi-purpose copy paper, then colored in Photoshop and was inspired by the three black crows that are always sitting in my neighbor's yard.
Do you love bad poetry? Do you love me?

I was fully expecting when I got to the "12" of one of your stanzas, that the words "12 gauge" (as is shotgun) would appear. No such luck though...exept for the crows, I guess.

Sorry...that's "as *in* shotgun" and " *except* for the crows".
I hate sloppy keyboarding.

I like your crows (do they have English accents?) I really like the name of your blog! I've been searching and searching for a good name for my blog, and now I find a fitting name, and you have it! (Mine would actually have to be bad art, mediocre poetry and rambling thoughts about my life I feel compelled to share.)
By Braidwood, at 23:54
Well that was fun! 12 loves left for you!

I had a cheesy love poem for you, but I thought it too goofy and deleted it....oh, well the thought was there....Love

Excellent rendering of those evil birds. And the poem is great. I hate crows. they wake me up in the morning screeching in my front yard.

They look evil, these crows

I have a big problem with english poetry, I don't understand it. So for sure it is not bad poetry because I don't understand it.
But I love it
and I love you

This made me think immediately of Harland Williams in 'There's Something About Mary.' He was the hitchhiker. Classic.
Thanks for the smile tonight!
