Bad Art I Am Compelled To Share

Friday, March 31, 2006

This is my picture for Illustration Friday the theme is Spring. "Spring" was drawn on a piece of multi-purpose copy paper then colored and cleaned up in Photoshop.

Ahh... Spring. I stepped outside to get a whiff of spring air, inhaled deeply and almost drown. I forgot it was still raining.

Do you love spring? Will you love me?

  • funny. i hope you were wearing a helmet. lol.

    By Blogger 2danimator, at 19:43

  • uh-oh that looks dangerous! great work! i love spring!!! love

    By Blogger ValGalArt, at 19:56

  • What strikes me as funny, besides the obvious fact that his head is stuck in the ceiling, is that he keeps holding onto that pogo stick.

    By Blogger ., at 20:13

  • Yep, there's the 4 inches of insulating "pink bats" up here. Can't see that damn possum though.

    By Blogger Shane, at 20:20

  • I used to love spring but after that I'm afraid of it...

    love anyway

...and my word verif is dxlthud. I guess that's what happens if your high speed cable connection "crashes" (or pogo sticking guys fall out of the ceiling).

    By Blogger andrea, at 20:20

  • Hey, I love spring!

BTW, did you know that mp and me were getting married... no! not together, silly. Go on my blog, you'll see...

    By Blogger Clo, at 21:31

    By Anonymous Paula, at 22:21

  • I hope it's sunny now.

    By Blogger littlekika, at 23:45

    By Blogger Caroline, at 00:13

  • Hahaha! I bet that hurts! ;)

We dont have spring here by the way, living in a tropical country. Its usually hot season, hot and rainy season, hot and dry season and the shopping season

    By Blogger marina, at 02:26

    By Blogger Rowantree, at 05:01

By Blogger Donna Reilly, at 06:27

  • Your work always brings a smile to my face. I agree that its hilarious that the pogo stick has not been dropped yet. Great job! Love!

    By Blogger Lou, at 06:54

  • ha-ha-ha! I could never pogo and feel a slight resentment toward it, that and the hula hoop!
Darn all those who can! hee-hee.

    Keep up the good work.

    By Blogger Stipi, at 09:31

  • Too funny! This is so clever! As usual.

By Blogger Teri C, at 10:03

  • I hope there's a cemetery close by-I think your gonna need a head. That does look like a lot of fun though, well until the moment of impact I guess. Ahh, always like to start spring out with a big LOL.

    By Blogger HARDWAX, at 10:09

  • You are always an original! Try full contact origami for indoor sport next time. Love the image. Much love.

    Must. Get. More. Sense.

Love it, very funny and creative!

By Blogger Lori Witzel, at 20:30

  • Hmm. Something tells me if you lifted up the shirt of the pogo stick jumper there would be a tell-tale odd patch of hair. Drawing from personal experiences now eh? Brought a smile, good job.

    By Blogger cocos, at 22:11

  • Lol...very funny take on the topic and well executed! :D

  • I think spring is great and it's beginning where I am. This made me smile though I would'nt try it. You need a shorter spring or you'll leave an obvious trail where you've been, unless you're outside obviously.

    By Blogger modroom, at 13:22

  • modroom: Hee, hee. Thanks.

By Blogger The Unknown, at 14:33

  • Brilliant... thanks for the warning! Knowing me... I'd probably end up in the ceiling too.... unless of course I fell off it first. Either way... me + pogo stick = disaster

    great stuff

    By Blogger CarolineJarvis, at 22:48

  • Oops! I would just love to see the other side of that ceiling!

    By Blogger carla, at 09:11

  • Spring has sprung!

    By Blogger Holly, at 07:27

  • LOVE!!!!!!!!!!

    By Blogger cornpone, at 07:54

  • Aha - have you pogo'd on a skateboard too?

    By Blogger Caroline, at 10:11

  • Ah yes! I remember way back 20 years ago when I lived in Stumptown--it rained in the Spring--a lot. It also rained in the fall, and winter, AND in the summer (a little). This would be a great interpretation of Spring for a webfoot--unless one was inclined to do another rain pic. :>)

By Blogger Robert McLaughlin, at 12:42

  • I could never get that high on one of those!

    By Blogger String, at 13:05

  • Good thing there wasn't a window nearby. Nice job.

By Blogger Tony Sarrecchia, at 19:09

  • Yes, Spring has sprung... as has that guy's neck. Getting here late in the week... you already have 50+ loves. Love your love of Spring. Hang in there. Peace and love.

    By Blogger Twisselman, at 19:55

  • Love it. pogo'ing is not for indoors! My daughter once pogo'ed for over a thousand bounces. I can only manage two or three before I fall off.

    By Blogger IdiotHead, at 22:03

  • I think I would pay for this to happen to some people. *G*

    Great illustration!

    By Blogger Aravis, at 23:42

  • I wonder how many tries it took for him to get stuck in the ceiling? A one, a two...THREE!!!

    By Blogger phinner, at 19:34

  • You know, dork is such a harsh word. I think on the island, the castaways all called Gilligan " Little Buddy ". Doesn't that sound better? Ha-ha. Hope you enjoyed your time off. love

    cornpone: THANKS!!! :-)

caroline: No, but now I'm thinking about trying it.

    robert mclaughlin: Yep. That's Stumptown.

string: Me either. They never made the spring strong enough.

tony: I guess that depends on what floor he's on. :-)

twisselman: Hee, hee. Thanks man. :-)

idiothead: A Thousand! Good Lord. What energy.

aravis: Ha! *G* would be dumb enough to do this.
