Happy Easter

Someday I will have children, then my mother can stop taunting my brother's dog Angus, and start humiliating the Grandkids. Until then I guess Angus will have to suffer through all that affection.

Some of you may recognize Angus. He was the subject of one of my first Illustration Friday pictures and because my mother went to all the trouble of dressing him up for Easter, I thought I better share it with all my Loves.

Happy Easter, if you're into that kind of thing. If not, happy chocolate bliss out day.

"Angus Easter" was drawn on a scrap of multi-purpose copy paper, then cleaned up and colored with Photoshop and here's the real thing.
Do you love to dress up your pets? Do you want to leave me some love?

  • Happy Easter Angus, you sure are cute!thlkdznm

  • No, but if it was up to my wife, our Miniature Pinscher would wear sweaters and other outfits all the time. Very funny story. Love the picture of the Angus. Love.

    By Blogger Lou, at 22:07

  • i think our pets should wear clothes IFF they choose the outfit out of the little pets fashion catalog, give us the money for the outfit out of their little salaries, and dress themselves with their little opposable thumbs that they have grown for the occasion.

(of course i would make an exception for the winter sweaters that might be put, out of necessity and altruism, on delicate and/or hairless pets).

PS: nonetheless, cute pictures! and thanks for the comments on my blog.

  • I used to put ribbons and stuff on my cats - back then I thought they looked cute but now as I go older, I realise how rediculous they look. Cats already have a stylish fur coat, they dont need more accessories :P

  • Angus looks like he'd be a charmer.... does he have a tail to match the ear?

    Love to you too

    By Blogger Caroline, at 10:34

  • I remember a lady I once knew that had little custom mad rain coats(yellow slickers) and evening gowns and even a little mink fur coat made for her Yorkie,so I don't find the rabbit ears strange at all:)))
    Love to all....

    By Blogger LDahl, at 11:14

  • Lovely drawing and photo.
That your doggie stick up with the bunny ears, mine wouldn't.

    Love and hugs, Rita

    By Blogger Squaze!, at 15:03

  • Ahh, don't let your mom have all of the fun....you will find when you have kids that you will enjoy humiliating them too. Love

    By Blogger Janet, at 20:25

  • rikki's post is hilarious.

I have a 3 year old daughter now who is too young to realize her future humiliation when she sees all these pics of her with bunny ears.

Target makes stuff like this just for me and your mom.

    N.

    By Blogger Nicole, at 20:34

  • caroline: He is quite the charmer indeed. No matching tail though.
    love

ldahl: Hmm... A fur coat for your dog just seems wrong to me. Then again, I'm the kind of person who thinks it's weird to put a leather saddle on a horse. To me that's like making a pair of leather pants out of my cousin. Icky
    love

    rita b. fox: Thanks.
Yeah, Angus is pretty cool about all that stuff. He's a really mellow dog.
    love

janet: I'm sure you're right but, now all I can do is find pleasure in humiliating myself. :-)
    love

    nicole: I agree!

Someday when I get rich I will get the equiptment to put all the old home movies of me and my brother in dumb clothes and funky pajamas on this blog. Now that's entertainment!

Shhhh! Don't tell my mom that. :-)

  • Hello Wise Mr Unknowing.

Thank you for your visit my humble kneepit.

You tell me that you put the cement in your belly button in case your head fall off. Now I am worried my head fall off too - or maybe this just happen in your Stumpingtown ?

I also want ask - if you have no button - how can all the little animals come visit? I would feel very lonely if I had no creatures in my belly. They make Pablo happy.

    Adios amigo!

    Amor - Pablo

    By Blogger Kimbu, at 09:50

  • Oh how wonderful!! Scarecrow told me about Angus, but had to get over the "new computer" blues to visit. I love Scotties, we have two. I once tried to put doggie raincoats on them. Maggie didn't care but Max attacked his. Give Angus a big hug from the Babe.
    Luv
