Happy Easter

Someday I will have children, then my mother can stop taunting my brother's dog Angus, and start humiliating the Grandkids. Until then I guess Angus will have to suffer through all that affection.

Some of you may recognize Angus. He was the subject of one of my first Illustration Friday pictures and because my mother went to all the trouble of dressing him up for Easter, I thought I better share it with all my Loves.

Happy Easter, if you're into that kind of thing. If not, happy chocolate bliss out day.

"Angus Easter" was drawn on a scrap of multi-purpose copy paper, then cleaned up and colored with Photoshop and here's the real thing.
Do you love to dress up your pets? Do you want to leave me some love?

  • That poor dog! *laugh* He dosen't seem to mind too much. :)

    By Blogger Whimspiration, at 19:10

  • Oh, Angus is adorable! I so love dogs....only have 1 now....miss my little Izzy who went to doggy heaven while we were evacuated after Katrina.
    Marshmallow chick love to you!

  • i think you definitely captured Angus' inner thoughts! love.

    By Blogger kat@ohmtastic, at 20:28

    By Blogger ratlion, at 21:30

  • Happy Easter Angus, you sure are cute!thlkdznm

By Blogger Christine Walker, at 21:38

  • No, but if it was up to my wife, our Miniature Pinscher would wear sweaters and other outfits all the time. Very funny story. Love the picture of the Angus. Love.

    By Blogger Lou, at 22:07

  • i think our pets should wear clothes IFF they choose the outfit out of the little pets fashion catalog, give us the money for the outfit out of their little salaries, and dress themselves with their little opposable thumbs that they have grown for the occasion.

(of course i would make an exception for the winter sweaters that might be put, out of necessity and altruism, on delicate and/or hairless pets).

PS: nonetheless, cute pictures! and thanks for the comments on my blog.

    By Blogger Natalia, at 23:16

  • Max and Maggie wont have none of that dress up foolishness. But they would put the hurt on a choco wabbit.

    By Blogger scarecrow, at 23:54

  • Ooops! I made a mistake with the comment :s
    Thank for yours.

By Blogger Lisbeth Pire, at 04:43

  • I used to put ribbons and stuff on my cats - back then I thought they looked cute but now as I go older, I realise how rediculous they look. Cats already have a stylish fur coat, they dont need more accessories :P

    By Blogger marina, at 05:15

  • i like to dress up my bicycle. Does that count? good expression. 'sheesh' haha.

By Blogger Leigh Anne, at 09:38

  • Happy Easter back at ya, Angus is so cute, that's his problem, I see a lot more dressup in his duture, mothers Day must be a real crackup.

    By Blogger HARDWAX, at 09:57

  • my only pet is my winnie the pooh stuffed toy who sings and shake with his glowing cheeks and yes, i dress him up sometimes.

    By Blogger isay, at 11:05

  • How about a kilt for Angus? Thanks for stopping by my blog. I enjoyed browsing your blogs.

    By Blogger MsDabble, at 16:36

  • Happy Easter!! I think my cat would kill me in my sleep if I dressed her up! LOL!

    By Blogger TXArtcGal, at 16:52

  • Hahahaah! What a silly-looking dog! Erm, I mean bunny! Heheheheh.

By Blogger Chuang Shyue Chou, at 19:29

  • awwwe, what a sweetie! Both your Mom and Angus! It reminds me of that commercial
    'thanks easter bunny...bawk, bawk!'

    love - bawk, bawk!

By Blogger Joy Eliz, at 04:40

  • so weird... all i got in my easter basket yesterday was a chocolate angus. to top it off it was "hollow".

    *teh love*

    By Blogger cornpone, at 06:57

  • I don't dress pets because it's degrading but I like it when they dress me up. Then I feel terrible afterwards.

    By Blogger modroom, at 12:57

  • whimspiration: Angus loves the attention.

travelingmermaid: My brother just got another dog so Angus now has a friend.
    I'm a cat guy. :-)

    kat@ohmtastic: :-)

merlinprincesse: But you are Borg, don't you try to assimilate everyone?

ratlion: Ha! I dare you to try.

    christine walker: Thanks. :-)

    lou: Ha! Thanks and thanks.

natalialove: Then only rich pets would have clothes because they would be the only ones to afford the opposable thumbs operation. :-)

scarecrow: Ha! I think we all should put the hurt on choco bunnies. GRRRRrr...

lisbeth pire: Wha!? You're welcome? :-p

marina: Heh, heh. Although I think cats look good in collars. :-)

leigh anne: I suppose it counts if you consider your bike a pet.
    Thanks. :-)

    hardwax: Thanks.
My mom just heard about a doggie dress up Easter parade that happens in her town every year. I can see Angus having a very strange Easter next year. :-)

    isay: Ha! Funny. :-)

msdabble: Ha! My brother would love that. He's into our Scotish heritage. I know Angus already has a biker jacket and goggles.
    You're welcome and thanks.

txartcgal: I'm sure my cat would kill me. :-)

    chuang shyue chou: :-)

    joy eliz: Thanks. :-)

    cornpone: LOL! Funny. :-)

modroom: LOL! I would feel dirty too. :-)

By Blogger The Unknown, at 23:58

I did, but i put stuff on them and they died.

    By Blogger Rikki, at 02:10

    By Blogger thesecondnun, at 06:17

    detlef: Ha! Funny and true.

thesecondnun: Thanks and thanks and to you as well.

By Blogger The Unknown, at 10:23

  • Angus looks like he'd be a charmer.... does he have a tail to match the ear?

    Love to you too

    By Blogger Caroline, at 10:34

  • I remember a lady I once knew that had little custom mad rain coats(yellow slickers) and evening gowns and even a little mink fur coat made for her Yorkie,so I don't find the rabbit ears strange at all:)))
    Love to all....

    By Blogger LDahl, at 11:14

  • Lovely drawing and photo.
That your doggie stick up with the bunny ears, mine wouldn't.

    Love and hugs, Rita

By Blogger Rita B. Fox, at 15:03

  • Ahh, don't let your mom have all of the will find when you have kids that you will enjoy humiliating them too. Love

    By Blogger Janet, at 20:25

  • rikki's post is hilarious.

I have a 3 year old daughter now who is too young to realize her future humiliation when she sees all these pics of her with bunny ears.

Target makes stuff like this just for me and your mom.

    By Blogger Nicole, at 20:34

  • caroline: He is quite the charmer indeed. No matching tail though.

ldahl: Hmm... A fur coat for your dog just seems wrong to me. Then again, I'm the kind of person who thinks it's weird to put a leather saddle on a horse. To me that's like making a pair of leather pants out of my cousin. Icky

    rita b. fox: Thanks.
Yeah, Angus is pretty cool about all that stuff. He's a really mellow dog.

janet: I'm sure you're right but, now all I can do is find pleasure in humiliating myself. :-)

    nicole: I agree!

Someday when I get rich I will get the equiptment to put all the old home movies of me and my brother in dumb clothes and funky pajamas on this blog. Now that's entertainment!

Shhhh! Don't tell my mom that. :-)

By Blogger The Unknown, at 21:37

  • HE ! HE!! Wicked!

By Blogger Alina Chau, at 21:55

  • very cute; looks a bit top heavy like he might just topple over if he tries to move

    By Blogger AscenderRisesAbove, at 03:38

  • Hello Wise Mr Unknowing.

Thank you for your visit my humble kneepit.

You tell me that you put the cement in your belly button in case your head fall off. Now I am worried my head fall off too - or maybe this just happen in your Stumpingtown ?

I also want ask - if you have no button - how can all the little animals come visit? I would feel very lonely if I had no creatures in my belly. They make Pablo happy.

    Adios amigo!

    Amor - Pablo

    By Blogger pablo, at 09:50

  • Cute bunny dog! My dog would have run away or chewed the bunny ears to bits. Very sweet though. Love

    By Blogger Holly, at 13:34

  • alina chau: :-)

ascenderrisesabove: Heh, heh. Nah, Angus is strong like bull. :-)

pablo: Luckily, I have a hair patch for the little creatures of nature to hide in.

    holly: Ha! Thaks.

By Blogger Roz Foster, at 08:09

  • Happy Easter :o) Your card is very interesting. Keep in touch, Issi

    By Blogger Issi, at 12:31

  • jocelyn: What's even weirder is Angus is Jewish! :-p

    jocelyn: Wha...? (blush) Thanks Love.

transience: I would love to see you in only your rabbit ears. Heh, heh.
The only rabbit ears I have are on top of my tv.

roz foster: I can neither confirm nor deny that rumor. :-)

    issi: Thanks and OK.

By Blogger The Unknown, at 17:32

  • you are even more sensitive than I suspected! i love that in a man, Love

    By Blogger ValGalArt, at 15:47

  • valgalart: That's me.
Soft like ice cream left on the kitchen counter. :-)

By Blogger The Unknown, at 00:27

  • Oh how wonderful!! Scarecrow told me about Angus, but had to get over the "new computer" blues to visit. I love Scotties, we have two. I once tried to put doggie raincoats on them. Maggie didn't care but Max attacked his. Give Angus a big hug from the Babe.

    By Anonymous Anonymous, at 17:19

  • babe: Thanks and consider Angus hugged.
